As The Mother Eagerly awaits at the gates of Kailash
To descend to the Earth, once her abode......
Her sons and daughters fervently engage in creating divinity out of clay
God creates Humans and Humans create a frame for God...
The daughter of This Earth
Is The Strength to the Supreme one....
To descend to the Earth, once her abode......
As Lord Shiva looks at his wife longingly....
Nine Days of parting is a shade too long....
Her sons and daughters fervently engage in creating divinity out of clay
The monsoon almost over....
A clear sky is all that they pray..
God creates Humans and Humans create a frame for God...
The daughter of This Earth
Is The Strength to the Supreme one....

ReplyDeleteOh beautiful.. I love these idols :). It is a greater feeling to know that they are hand carved than made from a cast.. Absolutely beautiful, I so want to visit Bengal now :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vinay :) Glad you loved it. If you want to visit Bengal the best time is the Durga Puja. :)

ReplyDeleteNice pictures and captions Datta.. Enjoy the festive season :)
ReplyDeleteCongratz Datta. A brilliant photography. You are revealing your talents in steps. "Maa Asche" It reminded me of Vivekananda's poem, 'Kali The Mother.'
ReplyDeleteCome, O Mother come
Who dares misery love
And hug the form of Death
Dance in Destruction's dance
To him the Mother comes
Beautiful Pictures :)
ReplyDeleteIn the last picture, love the lens flare. It is making the picture so divine.
Good to see this. There is lot of effort and faith there.
ReplyDeleteLoved the way you presented it Datta! So did you make a trip there specially for the blog? :-)
ReplyDeleteDatta, what a narration that you have with your pics....I got goosebumps....seriously!
ReplyDeleteOne of my friend she had made a Ganesha Idol out of clay for Ganesh Chaturthi and had uploaded the pic on FB titling - "Feeling happy to be the creator of creator"....That raised a few eyebrows (although the work of art was much appreciable)....
I applaud you for using the right words - " God creates Humans and Humans create a frame for God"....
Good to know the anticipation in town to welcome Ma Durga.
